My Understanding on Digital Marketing

 Here is what I defined and understand about Digital Marketing and Action Plan. But first, let's tackle some key ideas.



What is Digital Marketing?

Digital marketing is the component of marketing that uses the Internet and online based digital technologies such as desktop computers, mobile phones and other digital media and platforms to promote products and services.

With Digital Marketing, we can promote brands to connect with potential customers using the internet and other forms of digital communication. This includes not only email, social media, and web-based advertising, but also text and multimedia messages as a marketing channel.

But, we can startup with Digital Marketing without a plan, an outline of our goal for the business or our company. 

Down here are some definitions that describes what Digital Marketing is.

What is Digital Marketing plan?

A digital marketing plan is a document that outlines the marketing goals pursued by a company. It encompasses strategies, timelines, channels, and budget. A digital marketing plan is like a blueprint for your digital marketing strategy. It should cover the steps and tactics to achieve the broader outcomes defined by your strategy. Your plan should cover all of the digital channels you use, including social media, email, advertising, public relations, and your website. 




What is an Action Plan?

Action plans clearly define the specific pieces of work that will be done within each of the above strategies. Ultimately this is where your strategy will succeed or fail. Action plans are where your goals, objectives and strategies come together into the hard work.

Action Plans are simple lists of all of the tasks that you need to finish to meet an objective. They differ from To-Do Lists in that they focus on the achievement of a single goal. Action Plans are useful, because they give you a framework for thinking about how you'll complete a project efficiently.

What is a Business Model Canvas?

The Business Model Canvas (BMC) is a strategic management tool to quickly and easily define and communicate a business idea or concept. It is a one page document which works through the fundamental elements of a business or product, structuring an idea in a coherent way.

In its simplest form, a business model provides information about an organization's target market, that market's need, and the role that the business's products or services will play in meeting those needs. Business model innovation, then, describes the process in which an organization adjusts its business model.

What about Global Strategy?

A global strategy refers to the plans an organization has developed to target growth beyond its borders. Specifically, it aims to increase the sales of goods or services abroad. 'Global strategy' is, in fact, a shortened term that covers three strategies: international, multinational, and global.

The purpose of developing a global strategy is to increase sales across the world. The term "global strategy" includes standardization, international and multinational strategies.

What is Content Marketing? 

Content marketing is a marketing strategy used to attract, engage, and retain an audience by creating and sharing relevant articles, videos, podcasts, and other media. This approach establishes expertise, promotes brand awareness, and keeps your business top of mind when it's time to buy what you sell.Content marketing is actually a very simple concept. It's regularly creating and distributing valuable, educational, and highly-relevant content for your target market. When you add value to their lives with the content that you create to help solve their problems, you build trust and industry authority. 

What about Ideation?

Ideation is the process of forming ideas from conception to implementation, most often in a business setting. Ideation is expressed via graphical, written, or verbal methods, and arises from past or present knowledge, influences, opinions, experiences, and personal convictions.

What about Digital Transformation?

Digital transformation is the adoption of digital technology by a company. Common goals for its implementation are to improve efficiency, value or innovation. It's also the process of using digital technologies to create new — or modify existing — business processes, culture, and customer experiences to meet changing business and market requirements. This reimagining of business in the digital age is digital transformation.

What about Co-creations?

We define co-creation as the collaborative development of new value (concepts, solutions, products and services) together with experts and/or stakeholders (such as customers, suppliers etc.). Co-creation is a form of collaborative innovation: ideas are shared and improved together, rather than kept to oneself. Co-creation, in the context of a business, refers to a product or service design process in which input from consumers plays a central role from beginning to end. Less specifically, the term is also used for any way in which a business allows consumers to submit ideas, designs or content. 




What is Email Marketing?

Email marketing is the use of email to promote products or services while developing relationships with potential customers or clients. It is essentially direct mail done electronically instead of through the postal service.



What is Paid Search? 

Paid search is a process where the results are paid by advertisers. One of these are the pay-per-click is an excellent example of a paid search. The likes of which are very well known, Google Ads is one of the common ones, this allows you to research and bid on keywords. These keywords are what people use to find your products or services. In essence, paid search allows your potential customers to come to you as they seek out your product.



What is an Campaign Ad? 

Campaign Ad is a specifically designed strategy that is carried out across different mediums in order to achieve desired results such as increased brand awareness, increased sales, and improved communication within a specific market. All of this is accomplished through advertising.

What is Google Analytics?

Is a web analytics service offered by Google that tracks and reports website traffic, currently as a platform inside the Google Marketing Platform brand. Google launched the service in November 2005 after acquiring Urchin. Google Analytics includes features that can help users identify trends and patterns in how visitors engage with their websites. Features enable data collection, analysis, monitoring, visualization, reporting and integration with other applications.



What are Traffic Channels?

A traffic channel is an advertising channel or a source the potential target client comes to your web page from. For tracking any source you will need the specific utm-parameters. Them allows identifying the channel (even up to the key-phrases).




What is Display Campaigns?

Display campaigns serve visually engaging ads on the Google Display Network. The Display Network helps you reach people as they browse millions of websites, apps, and Google-owned properties (such as YouTube and Gmail). A Display campaign is one campaign type available to you in Google Ads.



What is Attribution Modelling?

An attribution model is the rule, or set of rules, that determines how credit for sales and conversions is assigned to touchpoints in conversion paths. Attribution modeling allows you to hone in on the buyer's journey and understand which parts of it are working best for your customers and what needs improvement. It also offers insight into how your marketing channels and touchpoints are working together to convert your target audience.


What is SEO? (SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION)

Search engine optimization is the process of improving the quality and quantity of website traffic to a website or a web page from search engines. SEO targets unpaid traffic rather than direct traffic or paid traffic. And also the process of maximizing the number of visitors to a particular website by ensuring that the site appears high on the list of results returned by a search engine.


What is a Keyboar Research?

Keyword research is the process by which you research popular search terms people type into search engines like Google, and include them strategically in your content so that your content appears higher on a search engine results page


What is Social Media?

Social media is an internet-based form of communication. Social media platforms allow users to have conversations, share information and create web content. Some popular examples of general social media platforms include Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn.


What is Social Advertising?

Social advertising is the process of creating and deploying clickable ads to reach target audiences. You can reach them through social media platforms, messaging apps, news feeds, and even outside apps and websites.


What is a Spam?

Spam is any kind of unwanted, unsolicited digital communication that gets sent out in bulk. Often spam is sent via email, but it can also be distributed via text messages, phone calls, or social media.

My Perception

Having a plan is necessary to make goals come true and be possible. Without thinking of a better choice or action may result to failure. That's why we need to make in this day and age is a Digital Marketing Plan as most of what we are working nowadays are online or on the internet. And making and Action Plan to establish process and efficient workflow or priority. So its important the we use this methods on marketing our businesses or products not only to suit the needs of customers, but also to improve the development and profit of the company.
