Elements of Creative Story and Script Design

I.  Details of the event/activity

The Webinar “Elements of Creative Story and Script Design” was organized by our team Studio Pyros, it was Held last December 15, 2022 Via Google Meet. Our Speaker is Ms. Angel Rose Fernando, she is the Leader/CEO of Studio Pyros, her passion creating story and script design makes our webinar complete.

II.  Reflections on the webinar/activity give rise to (learnings)

For our last webinar, Ms. Angel Rose Fernando decided to share her passion, and she assigned me to lead the technical and setup for the meeting ang livestreaming, The program was done professionally and we kept things seamless at the exact time. The program started at 8:15am after a 15min grace period of waiting other participants, then she introduce herself to the attendees, then walk us through the basics of creating a story and script design.

After sharing the basic of creating a story, she then discuss it much detailed, then discuss how to create a script for a story, the proper placing of the script, font to use and etc. after that she play a video of an animation with the script they were reading, that’s what it make it clearer, because the student can see how the emotions of the character can see through the script the Voice actors are reading.

III.  Reflections on possibilities on implementing some of the webinar input on a practical level (practical application of learnings)

As student of BSEMC all I can say is that Ms. Angel Rose was really good at creating a story and script, this kind of webinar will be helpful for the student of BSEMC because we have a subject of “Script Writing and storyboard design” this will help the student a lot when creating a story and script.

IV.  Positive feedback (on the event organization)

As the lead technical for the webinar, I think Ms. Angel Rose Fernando delivers a good webinar, because she knows what she’s talking about and knowledgeable about the topic, and she also created the story and script of our animated film “Salinlahi, Padayon!”.

V.  Suggestions for improvements to be made/consider for future activities

I think the webinar went smoothly as the speaker delivers a good discussion about the topic even with few attendees, the student was also participating with the speaker. All in all our webinar was a success.
