Fundamentals of Sound and Music Production

I.  Details of the event/activity

The Webinar “Fundamentals of Sound and Music Production” was organized by our team Studio Pyros, it was Held last November 25, 2022 Via Google Meet. Our Speaker is Mr. Jen Carlo Napoto, he is the Music Producer/CEO of XIIVI Productions and Audio Engineer of Studio Pyros, his passion creating music makes our webinar complete.

II.  Reflections on the webinar/activity give rise to (learnings)

For our 1st webinar organized by our team and at this time I was the lead technical for the meeting and live streaming, our colleague Mr. Jen Carlo decided to share his knowledge about Sound and Music Production, at first introduce his self and showcase his creation to the student, then walk us through about the tools his using.

After sharing his knowledge, he then created a beat using FL Studio (DAW Digital Audio Workstation), then explain the different sound he’s using while creating the beat for the music, at this point it takes an hour for him to create a beat, and it turned out an awesome music, the attendees were amaze after hearing the music he created for just an hour, and that’s where our webinar ends.

III.  Reflections on possibilities on implementing some of the webinar input on a practical level (practical application of learnings)

I think this webinar is a good one because as a BSEMC student we’re not just focus on visuals, we also do sound production, and this webinar will surely help the student as we have a subject called “Audio Design and Sound Engineering”, this webinar will be help the student understand the fundamentals of sound and music production.

IV.  Positive feedback (on the event organization)

As the organizer and lead technical of this webinar, all I can say is Mr. Jen Carlo delivers a good discussion bout the topic of sound production, as a music producer he surely knows how to create music from a scratch, which is very impressive that we have him as a colleague.

V.  Suggestions for improvements to be made/consider for future activities

I think the webinar went smoothly as the speaker delivers a good discussion about the topic, even though we struggle a bit because of technical difficulty, we still have a successful webinar.
